I have 13 experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer and my focus is to help my clients heal, grow and uncover their inner strengths. As a Transactional Analyst I will help you to uncover the unhelpful patterns in your life, where they originated and support you as you make the changes you want. I also offer EMDR which is particularly useful for treating trauma. I begin our journey by listening to your concerns, and developing and agreeing a treatment plan. This plan will form the basis of our work together, and can change over time as your needs change. We will then begin our work together, understanding the past and how it affects the present and building a future that is positive and free from the old patterns.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals and couples. I support clients experiencing grief, depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress, low mood and low motivation. I have had training in the nervous system and support clients to understand their body reactions to stress and trauma. I offer an accepting and validating space for you to share your experiences and learn new ways of being. I work creatively and differently with each client depending on their personality and needs. I am passionate about people's ability to grow and change through life's many challenges and appreciate the privilege of being able to be alongside individuals during these times. Many of us have had unmet childhood needs and these affect how we interact with the world in adulthood. By gaining a deeper understanding of who we are and what has shaped us we can change our ways of communicating and feeling, thus deepening our relationship with ourselves and those around us.

With over 35 years of experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I am passionate about empowering both adults and children through a creative, humanistic approach. I offer tailored psychotherapy sessions, facilitate dynamic supervision groups, lead engaging training sessions, and provide dedicated practice support days and individual supervision. My practice spans both welcoming indoor spaces and the transformative power of natural outdoor environments. My extensive background includes work in therapeutic communities, children’s homes, women’s refuges, and specialist trauma services. As a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) with a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA) qualification, I am also an experienced lecturer dedicated to sharing knowledge and developing professionals in the field. I have a particular interest and expertise in supporting creative and neurodivergent individuals of all ages. I am delighted to announce that I am now resuming animal-assisted psychotherapy outdoors with my new canine assistant-in-training, Willow. Willow is a Bedlington Whippet lurcher, and from the end of September, she will be joining me for all outdoor sessions, bringing her gentle presence and unique energy to our therapeutic work.

I have been in private practice for around 9 years and have also worked for The Youth Counselling Project for 4 years as their lead counsellor. I have experience working with adults and adolescent's for a range of mental health issues. I offer Psychotherapeutic Counselling using a relational approach. My primary mode of therapy is Transactional Analysis (TA), which incorporates a number of schools of TA therapy, all with the aim of facilitating change. My clients lead the sessions to ensure that their needs are front and centre at all times. I may, on occasions, offer psychoeducation (use recognised models and activities to aid self-reflection or help build healthy coping strategies).

We can all experience times in our lives when we feel that the demands of life are too much for us to cope with. This can result in us feeling depressed, anxious or overwhelmed. These challenges often bring up feelings from our past which impact our relationships. Therapy allows you the space and time to explore and bring awareness to your patterns of behaving and relating to yourself and others. The supportive, trusting relationship between us is an important part of our work together as we reflect on thoughts, feelings and behaviours and seek awareness, relief and the opportunity to live a more satisfying and fulfilling life. I have been working as a therapist since the 1990s and using my broad range of experience, can offer people the skill and compassion needed to help them make changes in their lives.​ I believe that therapy isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about becoming the person you would have been if you hadn’t experienced difficulties along the way. Having spent nearly 30 years in the TA arena I have gained a depth and breadth of experience, which includes working for 3 years in the TA cathexis community. I am a BPD (Borderline personality disorder) specialist and have spent 4 years running 2 groups a week for women who meet the criteria. I currently work in private practice offering 1:1 and group work. I enjoy supervision as it gives me an opportunity to share my wealth of knowledge and experience to support people to develop their practice. In addition to being a PTSTA I have a Diploma in Integrative supervision. I am also qualified as a professional coach & mentor and have worked in organisations as a coach, trainer and delivering 360 appraisal feedback.

Colchester (Essex) and Central London (Holborn) I'm a CTA, offering therapy for individuals and couples. I offer supervision to qualified TA practitioners only (not trainees) I have particular interest/experience in:- Psychosexual issues Bereavement & loss Terminal illness and end-of-life work I'm also an experienced trainer, having worked for nearly 5 years with an integrative psychotherapy training institute.

My primary approach is Transactional Analysis and my foundations are based on the TA values of everyone is ok, everyone is capable of making decisions and change is possible. I have worked with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, worry, relationship issues, addiction, abuse, trauma. I work with adults of all ages and from all cultures and backgrounds. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space to develop the therapeutic relationship. We will work together to look at behaviour, thoughts and feelings that are current and/or affected by the past. I work with my client to investigate where change is wanted and how to implement that with their own resources and resilience.
