UKATA Medals
A wonderful part of every UKATA Annual Conference is the evening we award the five annual UKATA Medals.
In January you are invited as a member of UKATA to nominate a UKATA member to be awarded a medal. The only eligibility criteria for those nominated is that they have not previously been awarded a medal (you can see the previous recipients listed below) and that they are currently members of UKATA.
The five UKATA Medals are given to members who are nominated for their services to Transactional Analysis or for their contribution to the development of Transactional Analysis practice. Perhaps you know someone who has helped you or others who embodies the spirit of Transactional Analysis. The UKATA Medal is a fantastic way to honour their contribution within our community.
The Chair of the UKATA Ethics Committee oversees the process and will convene a meeting of the 2025 medal recipients to discuss and agree the awards for 2026. Each year we start afresh with nominations so if your nominee was not successful last year, please nominate them again in 2026.

Outstanding Contribution to the Global TA Community 2020 – Leilani Mitchell
In July 2020 UKATA Council awarded Leilani Mitchell an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Global TA Community.
This award was for her extensive contribution to the world TA community through her generous work on a wide range of committees, conferences and exams over the past 30 years.
Leilani has always been very community spirited, this was also to acknowledge and thank her for her time and energy for her many valued contributions.
