A number of bursary schemes are available to provide financial support for UKATA members. Each scheme has its own eligibility criteria and application process.

UKATA Training Bursary

The UKATA Training Bursary offers grants of up to £500 to support UKATA members (excluding subscribers) who are working towards qualifications in Transactional Analysis with a Registered Training Establishment.

Funding may be used towards:

• Formal training

• Workshops

• Supervision

• Exam preparation groups

• Other relevant professional development activities

Application Period

The 2026 bursary application window is now open, and will close on 30 June 2026.

All applications received by the closing date will be considered by the bursary panel.

How the Bursary Is Paid

Any bursary awarded will be paid directly to the relevant training establishment, workshop leader, conference organiser, or supervisor.

UKCP Trainee Bursary Scheme

The dates for the UKCP Bursary 2026 have been announced. Applications for this year's programme will be open between Thursday, 4 June and Thursday, 2 July.

The UKCP Bursary is a fund created to support UKCP student and trainee members in need of financial assistance. They especially welcome applications from UKCP students and trainees who:

• are in a need of financial support due to their personal circumstances (for example, being a single parent, low-income household, carer or similar)

• come from under-represented groups including people who have Black, Asian or minoritised ethnic backgrounds, a disability (as defined by the Equality Act 2010) or those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, non-binary and/or transgender.

EATA Bursary

Please note that the EATA Bursary scheme will be suspended throughout 2026. A decision regarding whether bursaries will resume in 2027 will be made by EATA in October 2026.
