About me and my practice:
istockphoto-1174492182-612x612.jpeg
I am a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist with a trauma-informed and integrative approach. My work combines TA psychotherapy with EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, and polyvagal theory, allowing me to address both the psychological and physiological aspects of trauma and stress.

I have a particular interest in working with high-performance clients, including those from military, veteran, elite sport, and leadership backgrounds. Many of the people I work with are highly capable, responsible, and resilient, yet find that long-standing survival strategies no longer serve them. Therapy often involves helping clients understand how early script decisions, ego-state dynamics, and nervous system adaptations continue to shape their current patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating.

My practice is relational, structured, and collaborative. I place strong emphasis on safety, pacing, and nervous system regulation, recognising that meaningful change requires both stabilisation and deeper psychological integration. EMDR is offered when clinically appropriate and only after adequate preparation, ensuring clients remain within their window of tolerance throughout the work.

I aim to provide a thoughtful and boundaried therapeutic space where clients can move beyond survival-based functioning towards greater autonomy, emotional flexibility, and authentic choice in their lives.
What I can help with:
I am a UKATA contractual trainee in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, working from a trauma informed and integrative perspective, and practising under ongoing clinical supervision.

My work focuses on supporting adult clients who live under sustained pressure and responsibility, including those from military and veteran backgrounds, elite sport, and leadership roles. I work with presentations of complex trauma and long term stress, and I receive specialist supervision in this area to support safe, ethical, and appropriately paced clinical work. Many of the people I work with are highly capable and resilient, yet find that long standing survival strategies no longer serve them. Therapy often involves exploring how early script decisions, ego state dynamics, and nervous system adaptations continue to shape present day patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating.

Transactional Analysis provides the primary framework for my work, supporting insight, integration, and relational repair. Alongside TA, my approach is informed by contemporary trauma theory, including nervous system regulation, attachment based perspectives, trauma focused CBT principles, and EMDR informed approaches. I do not offer EMDR as a therapeutic intervention, and where EMDR may be clinically indicated I can signpost clients to a suitably qualified EMDR practitioner.

My practice is relational, structured, and collaborative. I place strong emphasis on safety, pacing, and stabilisation, recognising that meaningful psychological change requires a regulated nervous system alongside deeper therapeutic work. I aim to provide a thoughtful and boundaried therapeutic space in which clients can move beyond survival based functioning towards greater autonomy, emotional flexibility, and authentic choice in their lives.
