Transactional Analysis Podcast - New Episode Out Now!

There’s something powerful about the stories we tell - and the ones we recognise ourselves in.

In Series 4, Episode 7 of the Transactional Analysis Podcast, Lorena Adami (CTA-C) joins hosts James Longwell and Parul Arora to explore the meeting point between cinema and counselling.

Drawing on her background in film and media, Lorena introduces what she calls “CineCounselling” - an approach inspired by the shared language of script in both movies and Transactional Analysis. From life script to movie script, the conversation opens up rich reflections on metaphor, character, scenes and storytelling in therapeutic work.

They discuss how cinema can:

  • Offer symbolic language when a client cannot yet find their own words

  • Create enough distance to safely explore personal material

  • Support creativity and free child expression in group settings

  • Make TA concepts more tangible and accessible

At its heart, the episode frames TA counselling as a process of empowerment.

We’re proud to support the podcast as Patronage Partner and to help share these conversations with the TA community and beyond.

🎧 If you haven’t listened yet, it’s well worth your time.
