Call for Contributions for the Transactional Analyst
It is important to us to plan the content of our magazine together with members. This is your magazine, and if there's an idea, question or reflection that's been stirring in your work, we'd love to hear it. We welcome article ideas and submissions throughout the year - and for our next edition, we're particularly keen for you to get involved.
Summer Issue (June 26) : THE SPACE BETWEEN
For this issue, we’re preparing a special piece that honours Petruska Clarkson whose work so powerfully articulated the importance of relationship, presence, and what happens between people. In that spirit, the theme of this issue emerges:
THE SPACE BETWEEN, the shifting terrain where connection is made, strained, or transformed.
What happens in the space between us?
Between message and reply?
Between therapist and client?
Between who we are online and who we are in the room?
Between human and machine?
We’re interested in:
-
Relationships shaped (or misshaped) by social media
-
Presence, absence, and the performance of attention
-
Therapeutic and supervisory encounters, case reflections, and relational dynamics
-
AI as collaborator, mirror, or intrusion
-
Boundaries, intimacy, distance, and miscommunication
-
The political and cultural climates shaping how we meet one another
We welcome:
-
Essays and opinion pieces (1500-3000 words)
-
New theoretical perspectives or extensions of existing theories (3000-4000 words)
-
Personal writing (approx. 1000 words)
-
Poems and creative writing
-
Students' early practice experiences and reflections
